Durban hip-hop artist Sane "Kepza" Ndlovu speaks on n_ude CD cover,

After causing a social media storm over his latest CD sleeve, Durban hip-hop artist Sane “Kepza” Ndlovu has apologised.

The musician had a raunchy image depicting a naked woman, with him clutching her bu_ttocks.

The picture went viral on social media last week dividing his fans, with some calling it “dope” and others accusing him of violating and disrespecting women as “s_ex objects”.

Some of his female fans attacked him on his Facebook page. In an about-turn, Ndlovu issued a statement saying the image was leaked by a colleague without his or his designers’ knowledge.

“When the image was publicised I had not signed it off. However, I would like to place it on record that the said image would never have been selected,” he said.

Ndlovu added that the image was taken during a photo-shoot and its concept was suggested by members of his creative team. “I do take responsibility for the hurt and disappointment that this has brought on the people who saw it.

“Therefore I apologise to each and everyone of you, I realise now that I should not even have considered the n_udity concept in the first place,” he said.

Ndlovu said he would be finalising the official artwork for his album Blessed, which was scheduled to be released yesterday.

“It was never my intention to offend anyone. As a son to my mother, brother to my sister and father to my young daughter, I should have known better,” he said.
