But many lives are changed by education, I'm sure if you can get yourself educated, you will realise that.

Let me make it brief got you, Nelson Mandela once said 'It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a miner worker can become the head of the mine, that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation'. Ever wondered why people cry or hang themselves while failing matric or their last year in tertiary, it is because of the pain of watching all of their dreams flowing away with the waterfall, you can't keep on referring to what happened in the 1600s all the time, dude is 2015 and the world has being transformed rapidly, if education wasn't as important as you say then nearly half of the population in SA could have been billionaires as we speak and who would have wanted to waste his/her money on studying? No one. So its time to wake up from that fairytale of seeing education as the obstacle...it brings high hopes in life.

Graduates are more likely to earn more, more likely to work in the most highly-skilled jobs and will see their wage rise more quickly than their non-graduate counterparts.
For any young person, jobs are scarce and competition is fierce. Collecting qualifications will not change this.
