Fourth Industrial Revolution is said to remove certain jobs in the market, and also introduce some. This means people will have to up skill themselves to meet the needs of this new era, a time of technological skills, creativity thinking, emotional intelligence etc. And the question arises, does the South African education and training sector have the ability to equip the students with the necessary information and skills to survive and benefit from this phenomenon ? The education and training has been under fire over the years for not preparing the students for the workplace, and many economists & employers blame it for the massive unemployment rate we have in South Africa.
